We are looking for a skilled and experienced Engineering Draftsman with a strong
background in 3D drafting, design, and modeling using tools like AutoCAD, Inventor, and
E3D. The ideal candidate will have a B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering and 4-5 years of
project experience, preferably in industrial or oil and gas sectors. The Engineering
Draftsman will be responsible for creating and updating detailed engineering drawings,
models, and designs, ensuring that they align with project specifications and meet
industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• 3D Modeling & Drafting: Develop 3D models and detailed engineering drawings
using AutoCAD, Inventor, and E3D for mechanical components, assemblies, and
systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Design Support: Assist engineers in the design process by translating
conceptual designs into detailed drawings and models, ensuring all
specifications, materials, and tolerances are accurately captured.
• Document Control & Updates: Maintain and manage project documentation,
including drawings, specifications, and revisions, ensuring all drawings are up to
date and properly filed according to company and industry standards.
• Technical Specifications: Prepare and interpret technical specifications and
drawings for the construction, fabrication, and installation of mechanical
components and systems.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and
other team members to provide design support, clarify technical requirements,
and ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all drafted drawings and models comply with
internal design standards, industry codes, and best practices.
• As-Built Drawings: Prepare as-built drawings based on site modifications and
updates during the construction or installation phase of projects.
• Project Support: Provide drafting and design support throughout the entire
project lifecycle, from conceptual design to final installation and commissioning.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Assist in troubleshooting design and
drafting issues, proposing solutions to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements:
• Educational Qualifications: B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience: 4-5 years of experience as an engineering draftsman, preferably in
the oil and gas, industrial, or construction sectors.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in 3D drafting and modeling software such as AutoCAD 3D,
Autodesk Inventor, and E3D.
o Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.
o Understanding of engineering drawing standards, including GD&T
(Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and experience in creating
detailed mechanical drawings.
o Familiarity with P&IDs, isometric drawings, and structural or piping
layouts.
o Experience with document management and version control systems.
• Soft Skills:
o Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
o Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple
tasks simultaneously.
o Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex design concepts
into clear drawings.
• Certifications (Optional):
o Certification in AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar design tools would be a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in the oil and gas industry or large-scale industrial projects.
• Knowledge of 3D design software for piping systems and plant design (e.g., E3D
or PDMS).
• Familiarity with fabrication and construction processes related to mechanical
engineering designs.
